Another Cods away win on the cards? Plymouth Argyle Vs Fleetwood Preview

After their 2-1 win away at Charlton last week, Fleetwood will be hoping for more success away from home against league-leaders Plymouth.

Despite winning their last two games against Charlton and Peterborough, the Cods still sit 17th in the league, 32 points behind their opposition on Saturday.

Fleetwood beat Plymouth 2-1 in the reverse fixture on opening day this season, and sit a comfortable five points above the drop, winning 3 of their last six games in all competitions.

Fleetwood could come in unchanged, although January arrival Jack Marriott is vying to break into the starting XI after fellow new signing Jayden Stockley was chosen to lead the line on Tuesday.

Fan-favourite Promise Omochere should certainly keep his place in the attack after his winning goal against Peterborough, while Carlos Mendes Gomes is fighting to feature on the other flank, having netted a team-high tally of seven goals so far this campaign.

The Argyle are on a great run of form of their own, having won four out of their last six games in all comps, with both their last two fixtures ending in 3-1 wins. 

Plymouth striker Ryan Hardie is bound to lead the line after hitting his 11th league goal of the season on Tuesday.

A win tomorrow would be huge for Plymouth, as it would mean extending their lead at the top over Sheffield Wednesday, who lost to Fleetwood in the FA Cup 4th Round only recently.
