
Blackpool host Charlton Athletic this weekend at Bloomfield Road.
The Seasiders managed to get their third away win in the league this season after defeating Bristol Rovers 2-1 with two early goals coming from CJ Hamilton and Karamoko Dembele. This was the Tangerines first away win at the Memorial Ground since 1998.
Charlton Athletic have recently sacked former Blackpool manager Michael Appleton after they lost in a thrilling 3-2 defeat to Northampton town with the Addicks conceding a 97th minute goal. They also suffered a 2-0 to Burton Albion at the weekend.
The two sides have played each other already this season which ended in a 2-2 draw which saw the Pool go two nil up with Jordan Rhodes and Dembele being on the score sheet. The Addicks scored two goals in three minutes which brought the game level with goals coming from the current league top goalscorer Alfie May and winger Blackett Taylor.
The Addicks haven’t won in their last 12 games with their last win coming in a 2-1 win vs Cheltenham back in November.

Alfie May is the League One top goal scorer with 16 goals in 25 appearances.
May has scored 20 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions this season.
The 30 year-old signed for Charlton at the start of the season after he left Cheltenham where he scored 67 goals in 165 appearances.

Kenny Dougall has made the move from Blackpool to Thai club Buriram United for an undisclosed fee.Dougall spent four years at the Pool making over 140 appearances and scored 11 goals. The former Seasider scored a brace in the 2020-21 Play-Off Final which gave Blackpool promotion back to the Championship after a six year stint away. The Australian made 19 appearances this season and scored three goals with one being a winner against Wigan Athletic in the last minute.
