Fylde Rugby Club

The story of the Fylde Rugby Club is very interesting as back in July 1919 the Fylde Rugby Club was born literally on the toss of a coin. On July 25th Manchester businessmen met at the Ansdell institute to discuss the formation of either a rugby or football Club. A coin was tossed and it fell in favour of rugby. From such small beginnings, Fylde grew and after 95 years it is a nationally respected club and a strong brand name in English rugby.

Our name, abbreviated to HOW, is influenced by the countercultural phenomenon of Ballroom, rooted in the necessity of community and safety, and in the defiance of oppression. ‘Houses’ are chosen families of artists and performers who ‘walk’ at balls as a form of self-expression and escapism. Walking enables people to be whoever they want to be, to create an alternative reality where they can share the version of themselves that they love, without fear of judgment. Blackpool Carers Centre

Blackpool Carers Centre is an independent, local charity and network partner of Carers Trust. We provide a range of services to support and enhance the lives of unpaid carers of all ages throughout Blackpool. We began our recovery through the final elements of covid restrictions, with larger-scale trips, activities and fundraising endeavors recommencing in earnest. Our Caring Corporates programme saw more businesses than ever before supporting the work of the Carers Centre.

We have been delivering quality private housing, social housing, and sheltered housing for more than a decade across the North-West of England.
