The work was carried out by specialist artist Tracey Cartledge, who brings more than 10 years of experience restoring historic mosaics and a 30-year career in public art. She restored the St Annes Arts Arena Mosaic in the amphitheatre, created by Gary Drostle in 2005, along with the two Mermaid Mosaics on the southern side of the Square, which were commissioned by Fylde Council in 2003 and created by Stephen Charnock.
