Jane posted a statement on her social media page showing the new plans for the Pier.
In the next move for the pier the statement said,
"Fleetwood People’s Pier
"A Sustainable Legacy for Fleetwood
"Fleetwood People’s Pier CIC was established six months ago as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, enabling us to fundraise and pursue grants and investment to support the regeneration of the former pier site.
"We are Fleetwood people who are passionate about our town and its future. Everyone involved currently gives their time voluntarily, with no directors receiving payment. Over the past six months we have undertaken significant fundraising and secured independent investment, helping us build the foundations needed to turn an ambitious community idea into a deliverable regeneration project.
"Our vision is to create a vibrant, modern, year-round destination combining independent food and hospitality businesses, short-stay visitor accommodation, community space and live events. A diverse food court would create opportunities for local independent businesses, while visitor accommodation would attract overnight stays, support the wider Fleetwood economy and provide a sustainable income stream for the project.
"The central community space could host live music, markets, entertainment, cultural activities and community events, creating somewhere for people of all generations to enjoy.
"Environmental sustainability will be built into the development from the outset, including proposed solar panels and renewable energy, energy-efficient construction, sustainable materials and green space.
"Crucially, this is not a development designed to generate private profit. Income generated through the site will be reinvested into its maintenance and continued development and, ultimately, help support further regeneration projects within Fleetwood.
"We want to build this with Fleetwood, not simply for Fleetwood. We are committed to working collaboratively with the Council, residents, local businesses and community organisations so that the development evolves collectively and reflects what local people want from their waterfront.
"Equality, diversity and inclusion will underpin this approach, with the ambition of creating an accessible, welcoming destination for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and circumstances.
"Ultimately, our ambition extends beyond regenerating one site. We want to create a sustainable legacy and regeneration model for Fleetwood — attracting people, investment and opportunity, supporting our community and reinvesting success back into our town.
"We look forward to working with the Council and the people of Fleetwood to develop this vision together."
