A 13 year old boy and a 15 year old boy, both from Fleetwood. have been arrested on suspicion of arson.
As fire crews remain in the scene of last nights fire in Fleetwood Lancashire Police have issued the following statement......
"At 5pm on Wednesday 3rd June we were called to reports of a fire at an abandoned property on Lord Street, Fleetwood.
"Emergency services, including our officers, attended the scene and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service put the fire out.
"Following enquiries, two boys have been arrested.
"A 13 year old boy and a 15 year old boy, both from Fleetwood. have been arrested on suspicion of arson.
"They are currently in custody."
Lancashire Fire and Rescue have also issued the following update.....
"One fire engine and one aerial ladder platform remain at the scene this morning and they are locating and extinguishing small pockets of fire. No active firefighting has taken place since 03:00 but we are working with the council and police to work on the next steps which includes the fire investigation and the structural integrity of the building. No injuries have been reported. Whilst this work continues, we continue to ask people to stay away from the scene and be aware that there will be road closures in the area."
