    After an amazing event last year, the Fylde Coast's Local Hero Awards return.

    These awards are always a tearjerker, and we expect no less when we celebrate together with dinner and entertainment at the Grand Hotel on the 10th October proudly supported by Blackpool Council

    This recognises individuals who have distinguished themselves through notable contributions or exceptional efforts. It acknowledges those who volunteer their time to assist others or enhance their community. Eligibility requires residence in Blackpool.

    Local Hero Wyre


    This recognises individuals who have distinguished themselves through notable contributions or exceptional efforts. It acknowledges those who volunteer their time to assist others or enhance their community. Eligibility requires residence in Wyre Borough.

    Local Hero Fylde


    This recognises individuals who have distinguished themselves through notable contributions or exceptional efforts. It acknowledges those who volunteer their time to assist others or enhance their community. Eligibility requires residence in the Fylde Borough.

    Heart of Gold


    For someone who radiates kindness, warmth, and generosity.

    Volunteer Award


    Celebrates an individual who gives their time freely to support others or improve their community.

    Young Achiever


    Recognises an inspiring young person (under 18) who has shown courage, kindness, or leadership.

    Charity of the Year


    Any charity, of any size, based in Blackpool, Wyre, or Fylde.

    Carer of the Year


    Recognises someone who selflessly cares for a loved one or others

    Emergency Services Award


    For a member of the emergency services who’s shown exceptional bravery or service

    Sporting Hero


    For a player, coach, or volunteer making a difference through sport.

    Parent of the Year


    Celebrating a parent or guardian who has gone above and beyond for their family

    Education Champion


    Celebrates a teacher, support staff or youth leader who’s shaped young lives.

    Extreme Bravery


    Celebrates someone who has shown extreme bravery.

    Youth Champion


    Someone who has gone above and beyond for local children

    Fundraiser of the Year


    Honours a person or team who’s raised significant funds or awareness.

    Charitable Event


    For an outstanding event that brought the community together.

    Animal Champion


    For someone who works tirelessly to protect or care for animals.

    Environmental Impact


    For someone making a meaningful difference to the local environment.

    Special Recognition
    Award


    This award is for anyone who you think deserves it. You need to explain why you feel they should get such a prestigious award.

    LGBTQ+ Champion


    Celebrates individuals, organisations and businesses that demonstrate outstanding commitment to advancing equality, inclusion, and visibility for LGBTQ+ people.

    Recognises an individual making a real difference in mental health awareness & support.
