The closures will be overnight on the M55 and a 24-hour closure on Blackpool road
Road closures will be in effect due to works installing Gantries and cables under the motorway and the completion of lighting on the M55.
This will mean full closure on both sides of the Motorway overnight from tonight (Monday, February 27th) until Wednesday (March 1st) between junctions 1 and 3 between 8pm & 5am
Other closures will be on Blackpool Road which will be closed eastbound from its junction with Riversway up to its junction with Aldfield Avenue Lea, it will be closed all day today until 5am on the 27th but no effect will be had on the Westbound carriageway.
This is to allow for the completion of the new section of carriageway that is to link the new roundabout up to the existing Blackpool Road.
In a comment from Preston Western Distribution they said; "Please follow the diversion routes and plan your journey ahead.
