Wyre Council have issued an update saying "work continues to progress towards securing the fire-damaged building on Lord Street"
In the update Wyre Council say,
"A specialist scaffold design has been completed and provided to the building owners, and we understand arrangements are being made for the installation work to begin. Responsibility for securing the building rests with the owners; however, if the necessary action is not taken, the Council has powers available to intervene and ensure the required safety measures are put in place.
"Once the scaffolding has been installed and passed the necessary safety inspections, the road and tram line can reopen.
"We would also like to reassure residents and visitors that Tram Sunday will go ahead as planned. If needed, temporary diversions will be put in place to ensure the event can be delivered safely.
"We recognise the disruption this situation continues to cause and thank businesses, residents and visitors for their patience and understanding. To help keep Fleetwood accessible while tram services remain disrupted, the Council has worked with Blackpool Transport to provide a free temporary replacement bus service.
"Public safety remains our top priority as we work towards a safe and timely resolution and we will continue to provide further updates as progress is made."
