Leyland McDonald's will be closing for a month, to the dissatisfaction of locals

The closure has people upset over them missing on McDonalds food

The Mcdonald's in Leyland is set to close for a month, announcing a refurbishment to the venue to bring 'fantastic' new facilities, but customers who rely on the restaurant for their 'fix of hash browns and burgers' have been seen saying that they 'can't cope' with the devastating news.

Posting on their social media page, McDonald's Leyland wrote a statement saying: "We will be closing on Sunday 4th June at 8 pm for amazing upgrades to our facilities! We will be back open on Wednesday 5th July at 11 am, Your closest restaurant will be McDonald's Capitol Centre, McDonald's Chorley Tesco, and McDonald's Chorley Clifford Street.

Many residents voiced how upset they were by the news, knowing that they would have to wait four weeks to get their McFix. Some went as far as to claim they 'Can't cope' with the news, as one person wrote in the comments: "I can’t cope. Looks like I won’t be going out for a month."

Other comments from residents referred to the infamous 'out-of-order' Ice-cream machines, writing: "My kid has asked if it's to sort the ice cream machines out which are often out of order."

With a third added about the timing of the closure, commenting: "Look on the bright side you can have one just before you finish work for the holiday's xx" and a fourth saying: "Wrong time of year to be closing."

Clearly unhappy with the news, one customer wrote: "McDonald's pleeeeaaase don't do this." Another was upset about missing out on their favorite breakfast item during the closure, saying: "BUT WHAT ABOUT MY HASH BROWNS?"

Topping it off, a distraught McDonald's-obsessed resident, who is still coping with the loss of the Chicken Legend from the menu wrote: "Oh my good god, I'm moving"
