A new owner has been named after the announcement earlier this month that the site had been sold.
Harts Amusements has, for many years, been a pillar in the community of Bispham. Positioned on the corner of Red Bank Road and the promenade. The site is traditionally visited most frequently during the Illumination run.
In early December, the current owners, who have kept the arcade as a family business for more than 60 years, announced that they had sold the site and their final day would be the 3rd of January, which coincides with the end of the illumination season that week.
However, this week, a new owner for the site has been announced, and it's a familiar name to Bispham.
Steve Hoddy, who is the current Managing Director of Bispham and Cleveleys Kitchens, has purchased the site, which sits a few doors down from his Bispham store.
Discussing his plans to the Blackpool Gazette, he said "As the new owners of the site, it is our intention to retain much of the tradition that Hart's worked so hard to establish and preserve, within a more up-to-date concept,"
A fast food complex is one of the current concepts being discussed by Steve.
