There were smiles all round at Primrose Bank Care Home in Poulton-le-Fylde as staff, residents and families celebrated being rated Outstanding in Caring by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Inspectors praised the home for its warm and compassionate culture, with residents describing staff as “exceptionally kind and attentive.” Families said they had “absolute confidence in the care provided.”

But it wasn’t just the care that impressed. Inspectors highlighted the vibrant activities programme, which includes regular dinner clubs, trips out to Fleetwood beach, and heart-warming partnerships with local schools. One resident said the activities “gave them something to look forward to and made them feel part of a family.”

Nick Dutton, Operations Manager at Primrose Bank, said:
“We are absolutely delighted with this result. To be rated Outstanding in Caring is a true reflection of the incredible staff team here. They go the extra mile every single day, not just providing care but creating joy, friendship and lasting memories for our residents.”

    Registered Manager, Rachel Dutton added:
“Our links with the local community are something we are really proud of. Whether it’s enjoying fish and chips by the sea, or sharing stories with schoolchildren, these experiences enrich daily life for our residents and make Primrose Bank feel like a true family home.”

Primrose Bank was also rated Good overall, with inspectors describing it as a “warm, inclusive home where people felt safe, happy and well cared for.”
