The Popular restaurant in Blackpool has closed its doors for the last time leaving staff and customers feeling shocked.
The Restaurant, on church street, was loved for its huge escalators and robot waiter that would bring food to your table. despite the popularity though it has shut for the last time.
The Blackpool Gazette spoke to a waiter for the venue who said that a total of 19 of the staff had lost their jobs due to the closure, however some had already found other positions.
News of this closure coincides within weeks of the Chinese buffet in Liverpool also closing its doors with customers receiving a text on the Monday evening (January 2nd) from the parent company TCB Unlimited Dining, informing them of the closure which caught some people 'out of the blue'.
