Arrest made after man dies in Blackpool

    A man in his 30s was taken to hospital but died on Wednesday, after collapsing outside McDonald's on Bank Hey Street last Monday.

    A 29 year old man was arrested on Friday (6th October) on suspicion of murder, he remains in custody.

    A postmortem confirmed the cause of the death was blunt force trauma. 

    The man has been named as Daniel Allsop, 38. His family released a statement which said 'We lost a son, dad, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew and cousin. He passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him'. 

    Lancashire Police are still appealing for witnesses for the case and have asked for anyone who "might have saw a disturbance on anything suspicious on Bethsda Road, to come forward.
