Katie Potter

Katie is the latest addition to the Coastal Radio Street team. Studying journalism at the University of Central Lancashire, she's keen to gain some experience, working on many of the great events across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast.

Get To Know Katie:

Who is your career inspiration?
Stacey Dooley. She is a brilliant interviewer and she picks important under-represented topics yet deals with them so sensitively.

Favourite Coastal Highlight so far?
Getting to know the team. Coastal is a proper family and everyone has been so welcoming and such a laugh to be with.

What Movie best describes you?
Definitely The Devil Wears Prada. Anne Hathaway’s character Andrea sums me up pretty well.

It's 5pm on a Friday Afternoon, what are you doing?
Probably cooking a nice meal at the end of a busy week. My signature dish is chorizo pasta.

If you could swap lives with anyone in the office, who would it be and why?
Ged Mills. I love the variety that comes with his job.

If you were in a band, what would your band name be?
The Stress Heads.

If you could work in any musical, what musical would it be and who would you play?
Wicked. It’s a classic! I’d love to play Elphaba.

What are your three favourite songs?
This is a hard one for me because it changes daily but at the moment:
    - Close To Me by The Cure
    - Sweet Dreams, TN by The Last Shadow Puppets
    - Back On 74 by Jungle

If your life was a famous meme, what meme would it be?

The mouse that says "Why Yes I Am a bit stressed, why do you ask?"

Train or Plane?
Train, I don’t travel well on planes!

Working In Office or At Home?
In the Office because then I don’t have the temptation to get back in bed and have a nap.

Coffee or Tea?
Controversial but neither. Coffee makes me jittery and tea is just not nice.

What's on Weekly or The Fylde Football Podcast?
What’s on Weekly. I’m not a football fan despite years of being forced to support Manchester City because of my dad.

Team Presenter or Team Producer
Team Presenter

Is it “Tea” or “Dinner Time”?
Tea is the only correct answer! Also I’m not as posh as Freya 🤣
