Dan Wilson

Daniel is a journalism student at UCLan, he joined Coastal at the start of 2023 and has had the chance to work on some of Coastal's most important events such as Lytham Festival and The Local Hero Awards. Dan can be heard weekly giving his take on all things Football on the Fylde Football Podcast, and occasionally filling in on What's On Weekly.

Who is your career inspiration? 

Probably Joe Rogan for what he’s done with his podcast and the UFC.

Favourite Coastal Highlight so far?

Lytham Festival. Local Heroes a close second.

What Movie best describes you?

Groundhog Day, at times.

It's 5pm on a Friday Afternoon, what are you doing? 

Either at the gym or still finishing editing the Fylde Football Podcast

If you could swap lives with anyone in the office, who would it be and why?

It has to be Connor. Seeing the world at 2x speed would be a treat.

If you were in a band, what would your band name be?

The Seasiders - In memory of the mighty pool

If you could work anywhere else in Blackpool for a day, where would you work and why?

Got to be at Blackpool Football Club, either in the press box writing a match report or doing the stadium announcing.

What are your three favourite songs? 

Obviously very difficult to narrow it down but some of my favs are:

1. Grease soundtrack (Cheating a bit but there’s too many bangers)

2. Everybody wants to rule the world - Tears for Fears 

3. Pretty much any edm

If your life was a famous meme, what meme would it be? 

Honestly no idea why but Ronnie Pickering just came to mind so I’ll stick with it
