Connor Hodgson is a 2nd year journalist student, studying 'sports journalism' at UCLan. Connor joined Coastal in January and has participated in our Dragon Boat race for Blue Skies, alongside Pride events and our Lytham Festival coverage. He is a huge fan of football and can be found either on the Fylde Football Podcast or writing match previews for the website.

Who is your career inspiration? 

Derek Spence. He was an ex Blackpool player but he worked at Blackpool FC Community Trust and came into my school and did some things with football and that was the day I got hooked into football and now it's become an obsession. Like I'm really obsessed... 

Favourite Coastal Highlight so far?

Covering Lytham Festival for sure. 

What Movie best describes you?

Football Factory (but not for the violence) Just the football.

Doing Blackpool Football Previews...

If you could swap lives with anyone in the office, who would it be and why?

George, because I want to know how he creates his football TikTok's. 

If you were in a band, what would your band name be?

Coastal United as we are going to take over the competition. 

If you could work anywhere else in Blackpool for a day, where would you work and why?

Doing football tours around Bloomfield Road because I know so much about Blackpool Football Club.
