New plays, exciting writers and theatre-makers of tomorrow – it’s National Theatre Connections 2023 at Blackpool Grand Theatre.

Every year, the National Theatre commission ten new plays for young people to perform, bringing together some of the UK’s most exciting writers with the theatre-makers of tomorrow in National Theatre Connections. 300 youth theatre companies and over 6000 young people from every corner of the UK take part and produce a play each year.

Lowther Youth Group will be performing (Circle Dreams Around) The Terrible, Terrible Past by Simon Longman. Skelmersdale Lathom High will be performing Old Times by Molly Taylor. Colne Primet School will be performing Strangers Like Me by Ed Harris.
