ABC's Martin Fry coming to the Winter Gardens

Martin (above) has been performing for over 40 years.

The former frontman of an 80s chart topping band will be heading to Blackpool this Autumn, sharing anecdotes from his career and performing some of his tracks.

Martin Fry – who shot to fame with Sheffield based band ABC and sang hits like ‘Poison Arrow’ and ‘The Look of Love’ will be at the Winter Gardens on 1 Nov.

The singer songwriter of four decades is coming off a UK sellout tour which included three nights at the London Palladium.

Martin said: “I have been very lucky in my career to have played venues around the world from massive arenas in the States to Sheffield Town Hall.

“However, this tour really is something a bit different; an opportunity for stripped-back music and conversation with my fans.

“It will be really special, I can’t wait.”

ABC’s debut album, Lexicon of Love, was praised to have ‘fizzed with bright ideas’ and ‘harked back to a golden era of luxe’.

Tickets go will go on sale from 10am Thursday 25 January and will be available on https://www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk/whats-on/.
