Martin Fry – who shot to fame with Sheffield based band ABC and sang hits like ‘Poison Arrow’ and ‘The Look of Love’ will be at the Winter Gardens on 1 Nov.
The singer songwriter of four decades is coming off a UK sellout tour which included three nights at the London Palladium.
Martin said: “I have been very lucky in my career to have played venues around the world from massive arenas in the States to Sheffield Town Hall.
“However, this tour really is something a bit different; an opportunity for stripped-back music and conversation with my fans.
“It will be really special, I can’t wait.”
ABC’s debut album, Lexicon of Love, was praised to have ‘fizzed with bright ideas’ and ‘harked back to a golden era of luxe’.
