Members of Blackpool Transport team lead awards shortlist

Blackpool Transport employees have been named as front-runners for awards at an event celebrating exceptional leadership in the transport industry.

Hayley Gregory, Marketing Manager, has been shortlisted for two accolades at the Leadership in Passenger Transport Awards, which will be presented at an event in London later this month.

Head of Commercial, Jamie Swift, is also on track for an award, as is the bus and tram operator’s sales team, led by Sales Manager Maddie Pouard.

Lea Harrison, Blackpool Transport’s Managing Director, explained: “We’re delighted to be so well represented at these new awards that celebrate the outstanding expertise and dedication of managers and supervisors working in the transport sector.

“As well as reflecting the talent and commitment of our team, it highlights the innovation shown across the organisation to deliver the best possible service to customers and continuous improvement across the organisation.”

Organised by the Transport Events Group, the awards will be presented on July 16 at Indigo at the O2 in London. Hayley will be competing in the Digital Communication and the Marketing and PR categories. At the same event, Jamie will be hoping to secure the Innovation and New Thinking Award, and the Sales Team the Team Management Award.
