The Fylde Memorial Arboretum in Bispham will be playing host to an annual commemoration event for Armed Forces Week later this month.
It will honour serving personnel, veterans, service families, and cadets.
The Service of Reflection and Remembrance at the Arboretum, on Moor Park Avenue, takes place on Friday June 26, with attendees congregating at 10.30am before the event begins at 11am.
Armed Forces Week takes place from Monday, June 22 to Sunday, June 28, when various events will be happening across the country.
Paul Binns, manager of the Arboretum, said: “We will have 150 chairs out on the day and members of the public will be welcome to attend.
“Our event will be attended by all the Mayors from the Fylde coast, the High Sheriff of Lancashire, the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire, veterans groups, RAF representatives and many more.
“We will also have refreshments courtesy of the Salvation Army.”
Other events are being organised in Blackpool and on the Fylde coast for Armed Forces Week.
Meanwhile, three of Lancashire’s World War 2 veterans were flown out to attend the 82nd D-Day commemorations in Normandy on Saturday (June 6).
Centenarians Marjorie Hanson (103), Richard Brock (102), and Ken Benbow (100), accompanied by Col. David Waters of Lancashire Armed Forces Association, their carers, and Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire Mrs Amanda Parker JP, flew to Caen and were chauffeured by The Taxi Charity for Military Veterans.
