A man was talked down from the roof of a building in Blackpool town centre
After the event, which happened in the early hours of Sunday the 11th May Blackpool Police have issued the following update.
"To remind you: At around 6am yesterday, our officers responded to a report of an assault in Blackpool. Whilst dealing with the incident two female officers were assaulted, and a man made off. Thankfully, they were not seriously injured.
"Shortly after, a man made his way onto the roof of a nearby building. Our officers attended, and following negotiations, the man came down safely.
"Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Bradley Holden, 28, of Willows Lane, Accrington, has been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer causing actual bodily harm and escaping from lawful custody. He has been remanded to appear at Lancaster Magistrates Court today.
"Thank you again for your patience whilst the roads were closed in the town, allowing us to safely deal with this incident."
